Geothermal Energy: Exploration, Development and Application


Aim and Scope:

Geothermal energy is a clean, reliable, and underutilized resource with great potential, especially in geologically active regions. Advances in technology could make it more accessible worldwide. The aim of this section is to encompasses topic about Geothermal Energy including geothermal exploration, development and its applications. Researches on Geothermal Exploration, Resource Assessment, Drilling and Completion Technology, Reservoir Engineering, Production Engineering, Geothermal Heat Pump and other related topics are encouraged to submit.

Introduction to organizers:

Jingkai Chen (Associate Professor) received the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from Rice University, Houston, TX, United State, in 2018. He is currently with the College of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, China University of Petroleum (East China), Qingdao, China, as an associate professor. His primary research interests include drilling and completion, hydraulic fracturing, vibration and control, and fracture mechanics.
